Economic Growth

Times are tough for Arkansas families. With unemployment rates at their highest levels in decades it is harder for Arkansans to provide for their families. As your State Representative I would work hard to bring more jobs to this area. I would work to make grants accessible for small business owners and lower taxes so that the owners of small businesses can expand. I would also set up a task force with local leaders, like the Northeast Arkansas Intermodal Authority, to work together to find solutions to bring jobs to this area and be aggressive ambassadors to find businesses that are looking to open up new businesses.

State Sovereignty

I believe that the Constitution is the highest law of the land, and that it spells out exactly what power each branch of the Federal government has. But even then, over the last few years the Federal government has trampled on the rights given to the states and us, the people, in the Constitution. As your State Representative I would make sure your rights are protected, under the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution. I would also try and get a State Sovereignty bill passed by the General Assembly, a bill that has been introduced in many other states throughout the country. I believe that if this bill is not passed, than any other bill is worthless because nothing is guaranteeing that the State will protect its people from a overbearing government.

Law Enforcement and Firefighters

With friends in both of these professions I know that on a daily basis these men and women put their lives on the line to protect the people of their community. If elected State Representative I would make sure that law enforcement agencies and fire departments throughout District 80 have the training and resources they need to protect us and our families.

Arkansas Values

I am a strong supporter of the values that many Arkansans believe in:

Traditional Marriage: I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman and will fight to make sure that it stays that way in Arkansas, where the people voted in 2004 an amendment that stated that belief.

Pro-Life: I believe that life begins at conception and we must give unborn children the chance to live the American dream.

2nd Amendment: I believe that when it says “the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” that means that the Government has no right to take away our right to bear arms. The 2nd Amendment is our life line to protect ourselves against any enemy whether it be a foreign country invading our country or whether it is us protecting ourselves against a tyrannical government.

Open and Accountable Government

If elected I will make government open and accountable to the people of Arkansas and this District again. As State Representative I would post all my votes on my website for the people to view so they know how I am voting on the issues important to them. I also will read ALL bills fully before voting on them. Any bill I have not read will receive a “no” vote. I will also hold monthly town hall meetings in each of the counties I represent so I can keep in tune with what the people are thinking and what they want me to do as their representative.

Taxes and Responsible Spending

I promise as your State Representative to be a good steward with taxpayer money. I will fight to make sure that any budget passed by General Assembly puts your hard earned money to the best of use. I will fight to keep taxes low and lower them whenever possible.

Education

As the candidate who graduated only two years ago from the public school system and is now a student in college I have a unique perspective that the other candidates lack, a fresh knowledge on what exactly is needed in the public school system. I know that schools are important for the betterment of students to improve their lives and by that improve Arkansas. I will work with other legislators to make sure that schools get the funding they need to educate their students so they can make the most of themselves.
